Picture cars, cast like talent

Marque Vault Classic supplies classic, vintage and specialty picture cars to productions working in and around New York City — feature film and television, commercials, music videos, period productions, advertising photography and fashion editorial. Every car in the vault is kept in show condition, inspected before release, and delivered to your location or stage by a professional driver.

We are a small house by design. One production coordinator handles your brief from the first email to the call sheet, working directly with producers, directors, production designers and location teams, so the car that arrives on set is the car you were shown, prepared for the day you described.

Why an authentic picture car changes the frame

A period-correct automobile does a great deal of narrative work before a line is spoken. Chrome, glass and hand-formed sheet metal behave differently under light than anything built today; the proportions place a scene in its decade instantly; and the detail holds up in close-up, where replicas and modern lookalikes usually fail. For photographers and directors, that authenticity is the difference between a car in the background and a car that carries the image.

The collection spans European grand tourers and American classics from the 1950s to the early 1970s, so a single source can dress a Manhattan period drama, a fashion story and a brand film without the same silhouette appearing twice.

Who we supply: studios, production companies and commercial teams

Marque Vault Classics places privately owned classic, vintage and specialty vehicles with major production companies, film studios, television and streaming productions, commercial production teams, music video and advertising directors, and the producers, directors, production designers and location managers who work with them. A car can be cast as a hero picture vehicle, used as background dressing to establish a period street, or photographed as the subject itself for a campaign.

Each car is presented on its own page with year, marque, engine, transmission, colour and current status, so a production designer or producer can see exactly what is available before writing to us. Vehicles are inspected before release and delivered to your location or stage by a professional driver, and one coordinator stays with your brief from the first email to the call sheet.

How a production booking comes together

Choose a car from the fleet and send the shoot dates, the location and the production it is for. Marque Vault Classic is operated by Metromotion Productions INC, which negotiates directly with each owner and passes pricing and contract terms transparently between owner and renter. Rates are quoted on request, insurance is reviewed before confirmation, and delivery covers New York City and a 25-mile radius, with longer transport arranged where a shoot requires it.

Full detail on terms, delivery and insurance is set out in how rentals work and the frequently asked questions.

Picture car rental services

Marque Vault Classic is a picture car source for professional film and television productions. Every vehicle listed is privately owned, presented with its year, marque, engine, transmission, colour and current status, and released only after inspection. Four kinds of production support are offered.

  • Classic and vintage picture cars

European grand tourers and American classics of the 1950s to the early 1970s, cast as hero vehicles or used as background dressing to place a street in its decade.

  • Luxury vehicles for film and television

Marques including Ferrari, Mercedes-Benz, Jaguar and Lamborghini, kept in show condition so they hold up in close-up as well as in a wide establishing shot.

  • Period vehicles for historical productions

Period-correct cars for era pieces, where original chrome, glass and hand-formed sheet metal read on camera in a way a modern lookalike does not.

  • Specialty vehicles for commercials and music videos

Distinctive silhouettes for advertising, music video and editorial work, where the car is often the subject of the frame rather than set dressing.

Production applications

Vehicles from the vault are supplied to feature films, television and streaming series, commercials, music videos, period films, and professional photo and video productions. A car can be driven in shot, parked as picture dressing, or photographed as the hero of a campaign. Multiple vehicles can be booked against the same call sheet when a scene needs a full street.

Delivery covers New York City and a 25-mile radius as standard, with longer transport arranged where a shoot requires it. Cars arrive at your location or stage with a professional driver.

Why production teams work with us

  • A collection chosen for the camera

The register is small and deliberately varied, so a single source can dress a period drama, a fashion story and a brand film without repeating a silhouette.

  • One coordinator, start to finish

The same person handles your brief from the first email to the call sheet, alongside producers, directors, production designers and location teams.

  • Transparent, production-specific terms

Marque Vault Classic is operated by Metromotion Productions INC, which negotiates directly with each owner and passes pricing and contract terms openly between owner and production. Rates are quoted on request and insurance is reviewed before a booking is confirmed.

Request a production vehicle
